-Character-the personal qualities and features that guide our decisions, tell of the kind of person we are, and keep us steady in a life of compromising tremors.

Physical Therapist

Subject: I picked Physical Education. I also chose 4 year college University.
Career: Physical Therapist

Job Description:
a Physical Therapist is a person who helps people who have permanent disabilities to achieve the highest possible level of physical function.

What duties do people in this career have?
The duties are to help people to
teach patients specific stretches and exercises that allow them to take a more active role in the therapy process.

What skills do they have?
The skills that they have are to figure out what is the problem with the patient and then to help figure out a way to fix it.

Education:
What education and training do you need to enter this career?
you must earn a master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy education program, and then pass a licensing exam.
Before you can apply to a physical therapy program, you must earn a bachelor’s degree.

What other qualifications are good to have?
volunteer opportunities at local clinics, Physical therapists need strong communication skills and a desire to help others. Manual dexterity is also important. In high school, you should take upper level courses in math, English, and science.

master’s degree programs and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.

first heard about physical therapy at a career day in junior high school. The presentation captured her interest, and ever since then she was curious about the profession.

She said "
there are more jobs available right now in the physical therapist career"
What advice does this person have for people who want to get into this career?
Her advise said to volunteer in different hospitals, clinics, or rehab centers to get to know exactly what you're getting into. This is what the universities are looking for in their applicants.

I don't think this is a tough career to get into, but it will be a little challenging. I think the most difficult part is all the years of school that you have to take and all the extra time that you have to put into it.
Would you be willing to complete the education and training necessary to work in this career?

Yes, i would because I would love to help a person be able to walk or to move again, even though people would tell them that there wouldn't be a good chance that they would. I think it would be worth all the time that is being put in.
